Cribbage FAQ

Q. Cribbage Club didn't score my flush! Is there a bug?
A. Probably not. Cribbage flush rules can be a bit confusing. Let's start with the Crib. A flush is only worth points in the Crib if it is 5 cards. 4-card flushes are not worth points in the Crib.

Flushes in the regular hand can be 4 or 5 cards. But! The 4 suited cards must be in the player hand. If the 4 cards in the player hand are of the same suit, that is a 4-card flush worth 4 points. If the turn-up card is also of the same suit, then that is a 5-card flush, worth 5 points.

Q. Does the game cheat to give the AI better hands?
A. No! The deck is randomly shuffled. The hands are completely random.

Each AI personality has their own play strategies for discards and gameplay. Elsa is the easiest opponent, with very basic strategy. Jack knows a few more tricks, and Anne is the best player, utilyzing logic and strategy to give a good solid game. In all cases, the deck used is randomly shuffled.
